Abstract: Preasfinţitul Părinte Varlaam Ploieşteanul, Episcop-vicar patriarhal, s-a întâlnit vineri, 24 septembrie 2021, cu Înaltpreasfinţitul Youssef Absi, Patriarh al Bisericii Greco-Catolice Melchite din Antiohia şi Întregul Est. Întrevederea a avut loc în sala de şedinţe „Consilium” a Palatului Patriarhiei din București, în prezenţa mai multor membri ai Fundaţiei „Alexandrion”.

Summary: His Eminence Youssef Absi, Patriarch of the Melkite Greek-Catholic Church of Antioch and the Whole East, undertook in the late half of the month of September, a pilgrimage in Romania, where he visited, being assisted by the members of “Alexandrion” Foundation, several emblematical monasteries and churches of our country, as well as some historical, cultural and patrimonial objectives of Romania and Bucharest. As a part of this pilgrimage, on the 24th of September 2021, Patriarch Youssef Absi was welcomed by His Grace Father patriarchal Vicar-Bishop Varlaam Ploieșteanul, representative of His Beatitude Father Daniel, Patriarch of Romania. The interview took place in “Consilium” meeting hall of the Patriarchal Palace, where the Melkite Patriarch presented the history of the Melkite Greek-Catholic Church of Antioch, and thanked His Beatitude Father Daniel for having offered him the opportunity to make this visit.
