Abstract:On September 29, 2022, in the “Teoctist the Patriarch” Aula Magna of the Palace of the Patriarchate, under the chairmanship of the Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel, took place the proceedings of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Within the frame of this event some decisions of an ecclesiastical nature were token and several theological liturgical and administrative matters were debated.
În ziua de 29 septembrie 2022, în Aula Magna „Teoctist Patriarhul” din Palatul Patriarhiei, sub președinția Preafericitului Părinte Patriarh Daniel, s-au desfășurat lucrările Sfântului Sinod al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române. În cadrul evenimentului, au fost luate unele hotărâri de ordin bisericesc și au fost dezbătute mai multe subiecte teologice, liturgice și administrative.

Summary: The proceedings of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Father patriarch Daniel, took place on September 29, 2022, in the “Teoctist the Patriarch” Aula Magna of the Palace of the Patriarchate of Bucharest. The roll having been called by His Grace Father Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Patriarchal Assistant Bishop and Secretary of the Holy Synod, His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel declared the proceedings of this high ecclesiastical forum to be open, reading out the points on the agenda. Also on this occasion, His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel presented the new Order of “the Mother of God the Suppliant” (Oranta) appointed by the decision of the Holy Synod. In the end, the Patriarch of Romania awarded the Order of “the Mother of God the Suppliant” (Oranta) to all the members of the Holy Synod together with the Diploma and the decoration of the Homage and Commemorative year 2022, the new edition of the Archieratikon and other publications that had came out of the Publishing Houses of the Romanian Patriarchate.
