Mesaj transmis cu prilejul Duminicii Părinților şi Copiilor (5 iunie 2022)
Abstract: Aprobată prin hotărârea nr. 629/12 martie 2009 a Sfântului Sinod al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române, Duminica Părinţilor şi Copiilor, prima duminică după data de 1 iunie – Ziua Internaţională a Copilului, este prilej de a reafirma rolul principal al familiei în creşterea duhovnicească a copiilor şi formarea lor pentru viaţă. În familie, copilul începe să înțeleagă taina iubirii părintești a lui Dumnezeu pentru toți oamenii. De aceea, educația copilului nu înseamnă doar cunoaștere și pregătire pentru viața materială, ci și creștere duhovnicească sau cultivarea bunătății sufletului, ca frumusețe a acestuia în relația lui cu Dumnezeu și cu semenii.

Summary: Being approved by the decision nr. 629 on the 12th of March 2009 of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, the Sunday of the Parents and the Children, the first Sunday after the 1st of June – is an occasion to state again the major part of the family in the children’s spiritual growth and their education for life […]. In an increasingly divided and secularized society, in order to answer the profound spiritual needs of the generations of children and young men, the Church invites the parents, educators, school-teachers and professors to a permanent co-operation, in the spirit of brotherly communion and practical solidarity, so that the education of the children may become a major common preoccupation. For the last decades, within the context of many provocations against the christian family, the Church has intensified her activities concerning the education of the children and young men. The year 2022 is particularly dedicated to making evident the importance and the part of the prayer in the life of the Church and the christians. Within this context, between the 15th of November 2021 and 21st of May 2022, the Romanian Patriarchate organized the National Catechetical Contest “The prayer in my life”, which aimed at cultivating the communion relation of man with God and his brother through the agency of prayer.
