The anniversary of the Bicentenary of Theology in Arad represents a noteworthy moment in the life of the Church and the Romanian theological education, being, on the one hand, an opportunity to advance again the importance of the values of the Romanian Theological education within the context of the contemporary society.
Anul acesta, 2022, Arhiepiscopia Aradului sărbătoreşte împlinirea a 200 de ani de la înfiinţarea Institutului Teologic (1822‑2022). Este un moment istoric, menit să puncteze alte momente istorice, bisericeşti şi culturale, ale dăinuirii, slujirii şi dezvoltării învăţământului teologic arădean. Aniversarea Bicentenarului Teologiei Arădene reprezintă un moment semnificativ în viața Bisericii şi a învăţământului teologic românesc fiind, pe de o parte, un prilej de apreciere a generațiilor de profesori care au onorat această instituție de învăţământ și cultură teologică, iar, pe de altă parte, o ocazie de a reafirma vocația și importanţa valorilor educației teologice româneşti în contextul societății contemporane.

The anniversary of the Bicentenary of Theology in Arad represents a noteworthy moment in the life of the Church and the Romanian theological education, being, on the one hand, an opportunity to advance again the importance of the values of the Romanian Theological education within the context of the contemporary society […]. The anniversary of today, on a par with the solemn moment of the consecration of the University Chapel of the „Ilarion V. Felea” Faculty of Theology, reminds us that the Church is always in need for valuable theological schools to prepare young missionaries devoted to be in the service of God and the fellow-men, in parishes, in philanthropical, cultural and administrative institutions of the Church or in society. We congratulate His Eminence Father Assistant Bishop Emilian Crișanul, as well as all the professors and the students of the „Ilarion V. Felea” Faculty of Theology of Arad, for having done their utmost in order that this university institution may be a permanent source of culture and spirituality for the youth called to serve the Romanian Orthodox Church and to promote the values of the Romanian Christian spirituality.
